APHN is headquartered in Windhoek, Namibia. Established in 2005, the organization was rebranded from Project HOPE Namibia (PHN) to APHN in 2025, evolving into a regional entity to accommodate its growing network of organizations and entities operating across Africa. APHN’s institutional capacity is built on more than two decades of implementation experience, offering technical expertise in infectious diseases, maternal and child health, and health security through close collaboration with government ministries and local partners.
APHN manages a robust portfolio exceeding USD 90 million in cumulative programming. Current active grants include continuation of REACH-I project (USD 33.7 million) in Namibia and the USD 60 million ANAPA project in Malawi providing life-saving HIV care and treatment services. Across FY2023–FY2025, APHN managed an average annual portfolio of approximately USD 24 million in FY2023, USD 31 million in FY2024, and USD 35 million in FY2025, demonstrating strong and growing institutional capacity.
Through a partnership with Africa CDC and Mastercard Foundation partnership, APHN has implemented Global Health Security initiatives focused on COVID-19 across six North African countries Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Morocco, Libya.
