The establishment of APHN is a reality because of the various regional and national health system gaps and challenges observed over the years including the lessons obtained from the recent COVID-19 pandemic. To have maximum impact and enhance footprint across the African continent, APHN has managed to involve within its network various organizations and entities functioning in different parts of Africa. APHN has strong and capable organizations within its network. The breadth of their scope of work covers all regions in Africa. The APHN’s approach would enable our network members to direct resources quickly and effectively. We believe that by forging partnerships, we can accomplish more to address and support health system problems and gaps in Africa.  Our fast-track partnerships with various organization within the network and beyond will enable to have effective resource mobilization and a timely response. The accumulated rich experience by its network members would enable APHN to effectively undertake the roles of strengthening African health system. Network members such as Project HOPE Namibia (PHN) has been involved in various health system support for more than 2 decades in Namibia and beyond. Project HOPE Namibia has expanded its mission and currently has a programmatic portfolio that exceeds USD $100 million.

In addition, APHN’s global partner, Project HOPE, is having remarkable health system and humanitarian support experience for more than 6 decades, globally. Overall, the various partners and entities included in the APHN network are playing significant health system support in different countries in Africa. These include Project HOPE Namibia (PHN), PHN- Malawi, Project HOPE (PH)- Zambia, PH- Ghana, PH- Nigeria, and others. In addition, APHN is partnering with PH-US as well as other PH-US branch offices in Africa, that includes PH-Ethiopia, PH-Egypt and others at global levels.
